Garden of the gods, Colorado Springs

What is your favorite "hidden gem" National Park? Ours is Garden of the gods, which we have had the pleasure of visiting many times due to some family members who live close by. Garden of the gods can be referred to as the "mini Zion" because it has many of the gorgeous natural red stone structures similar to that of Utah's Mt. Zion National Park, but overall the park is only a fraction of its size. However, the smaller park size makes Garden of the gods so much manageable for a half-day's family outing! If you have never been, you have to add this place to your list!

A few months back we had a family member get married (yay!) in Colorado and we took the opportunity to go hit the park with our kids. It was so fun winding through the ginormous and breath-taking rock structures and oh, yeah, climbing some of them with the kids : ). If you are wondering why our son Greyer has a bandaid on his nose, it's because he had some kind of scab on his nose that he had freshly scratched open (oh children : ). Hope you enjoy the photos of this glorious park and make it there some day! We hear that it is especially incredible during winter in the Colorado snow...
